Students from three local elementary schools (RG Sinclair Public School, JR Henderson Public School, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School) participate in the GROW Project run by Loving Spoonful. Students design, plant and care for their GROW project gardens throughout the year.
The GROW Project ) works with students in grades 5-8 to explore good food, community, and collaboration. The program includes classroom workshops and hands on activities such as:
- preparing and eating good food
- food security
- food culture
- food systems
- biodiversity
- stewardship.
