This spring we’ll be breaking ground on a medicinal garden at Lakeside sponsored by Allan D’Souza, owner of Reddendale Pharmacy.
We’ll looking at a mandala design for the garden and plan on featuring native and historical medicinal plants.
As the garden matures, Allan plans on offering workshops on preparing herbal remedies. In late fall of 2018 Allan’s team, along with a few Lakeside volunteers, prepped a 10x10m area, by covering it with cardboard and woodchips.
Thank you Allan for your vision in championing and sponsoring the medicinal garden. If you’re interested in volunteering with the medicinal garden, email joyce at lakesideforestgarden@gmail.com.
